Medical supplies head overseas

Medical Missions presentation

Members of Ontario District receive donation for Medical Missions

Ninety-two parcels of medical supplies from the Medical Missions depot at Kitchener, Ontario, and 18 parcels from the depot at Clifford, Ontario, were sent to overseas missions during 2009. New recipients include Lutheran missions in Sierra Leone, Africa, and Dominican Republic.

A retired nurse from Lethbridge, Alberta, volunteering in the Pacific Islands off the coast of Papua New Guinea says: “I package the gauze for the teachers to take with them so they can clean and dress any wounds the students may have, especially in the villages where there is no first aid post. Thank-you also for the rolled bandages used to hold the gauze in place, because tape does not stick well to skin in this hot humid area. Please express our thanks to those who took the time to cut and roll all the bandages.”
