A mite-y celebration!

As president of our LWMLC society at Christ Lutheran in St. Catharines,
Ontario, and also director of the Niagara Area Lutheran Choir (many of whom are LWML members), I thought it would be nice to combine the two groups into an evening of celebration for LWML–Canada’s 20th anniversary. So on June 20,
our society hosted women of the Niagara Zone, their families and friends, for this special event. We opened the evening with punch and a short devotion; all LWML members from across the zone who attended brought food and what a feast we had! I had also made and decorated three cakes in honour of the 20th anniversary and the entire meal was thoroughly enjoyed by all. After the meal we went up to the sanctuary for a concert by the Niagara Area Lutheran Choir. Although some of our singers were absent it was a lovely concert and several of the LWML–Canada hymns were included. During intermission an offering was taken and $642.80 was received for Mites to help with mission grants. We closed the evening with the League pledge.
