Women gather for rest and rejuvenation

On May 9 and 10 the ladies from Southwest Zone and Capital Zone met for a retreat in Moose Jaw. The theme was Rest and Rejuvenation based on Psalm 107:8-9: “Let us thank the LORD for His steadfast love, for His wondrous works to the children of man! For He satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul He fills with good things.”

The retreat began Friday evening with a communion service at Emmanuel Lutheran Church led by Pastor John Kreutzwieser. After the service the ladies changed venue to Wood Acres Retreat at the edge of Wakamow Valley in Moose Jaw for the Rest portion of the retreat. After snacks and fellowship, Patti Kreutzwieser led a closing devotion. Saturday was the Rejuvenation portion featuring music, exercises, Bible study and much mingling. In all, 55 women took part in the retreat including our district president, Arlene Kish. A great success with the women leaving spiritually energized!
